Our family has always lived in the center of Tuscany. Our ancestors have taught us to love, respect, preserve, and enhance this area. As children, we lived next to Il Borghetto, the villa which had been abandoned for decades and was in a serious state of disrepair.
It was a magical place for us to play. We had always dreamed of restoring the villa to its original splendor.
After 3 years of hard work and restoration, our dream came true.
Everyone in our family contributed to the restoration: Sandra as architect and decorator, Riccardo and Nicola as the labor force, Simona with her background in tourism, and even Papa and Mama participated with their constant and precious help and encouragement. All worked very long days for the duration of the reconstruction.
It was a monumental undertaking, but the family now has the pleasure of being able to welcome our guests to the place we love. The villa has been open now for more than a decade, and our enthusiasm is still as great as it was on the first day.
It is our great fortune to host so many people from all over the world and to share with them our traditions and our culture.
Il Borghetto is a family-run villa; we welcome you as part of our family and hope that our hospitality will enrich your stay and encourage you to return.
The contentment of our guests is our greatest wish! Whatever your interests are, we will endeavor to guide you, give directions, and/or make reservations for the best place to enjoy them.
